Tucked into the northern coastline of Grand Cayman, Starfish Point is a naturally sheltered inlet where large Red Cushion starfish rest in water so clear you can see them from the boat. The water is shallow, the setting is calm, and the colours vivid orange against white sand have a way of making guests stop mid-sentence.
Most of the island’s group tours use it as a quick photo stop before moving on, but with Island Vision Private Charters, you actually get to spend time there with no countdown from a guide, no strangers jostling for the same shot.
The inlet is naturally sheltered, which means the water here is almost always flat and clear. It’s very shallow, easy to stand in, walk around, and comfortable for guests of all ages including young children and non-swimmers.
The starfish here are large adult Red Cushion starfish and vivid orange. Captain Alex will walk your group through how to be around them properly: gently in the water, never lifted above the surface.
